Shawn Mullins - Lullaby

What You Can Expect

Welcome and thank you for visiting our new blog, Eyes of A Friend. We are a group of women who have depended on the love and friendship of one another for more than 30 years. We grew up in a rural community in central New York and a couple of us have since moved to nearby communities or even out of state to raise our families. We've grown to rely on the support of one another as we've fallen in love...and out of love...and back in love again. We've celebrated our children's first breaths, their first steps, first words and watched them build relationships we can only hope will last the span our own friendship has. We've mourned the untimely deaths of dear family and friends- and have stayed within a phone call away for a much needed reminder of how each one of us is truly loved and cherished- no matter how low we feel.

We're as varied as they come, yet so much alike. Be it quiet and reserved or loud and boisterous, bold and colorful or black and grey, AA's or DDD's. There have been thousands of miles between us at times, but here we are. Together. Sister-friends.

We thought we'd share what we love with you through photographs, favorite movies we've watched, poetry we've written and some we've read, some of the songs we sing and dance to and offer a bit of what's held each of us so near and dear to one another for so long.

Join us for laughter, insanity, good news and sad times. We know how to entertain, offer advice, make mistakes and most importantly, laugh our way into a new day, sometimes through our own tears.

Thank you again for liking our Facebook page and following our blog.  Please be sure to leave your comments, share some posts with us, share and come back for more!  Kim, Becky, Kim and myself (MK) will share some more about ourselves as we move forward and find our bearings!

I couldn't resist.  I hope you enjoy this clip as much as I did.

Maybe In 60 More Years!

This is a great clip from the Steve Harvey show.  I can't (for the life of me) figure out what she says at 3:13 that's so funny!
